Is this the silver breakout we’ve been waiting for?

Ever since I began stacking silver way back in 2015, I’ve lived through more false starts and sideways consolidations than I care to count. I've watched the price dance just below key resistance zones, flirting with breakouts only to get dragged back down — a long, frustrating game of silver limbo. But now? Something feels different.

This past week, silver finally smashed through the long-standing walls of resistance between $32 and $35, a range that’s acted like a concrete ceiling for years. Every time silver approached that zone, it was like some invisible hand said, "Not today." But that’s no longer the case. This time, silver didn’t just creep through — it charged through with a 4.42% surge on strong volume, propelling it right up to the $39 mark.

Now, I don’t often shout about price action, because like many of you in the #SilverGoldStackers community, I’m here for the long haul. I don’t buy silver to flip it next week. But let’s not pretend this latest move isn’t exciting — because it is. It feels like all the patience, all the steady stacking, and all the conviction is about to be rewarded. We’ve all heard the phrase “silver is gold on steroids.” And if this breakout holds (and I think it will), that saying might finally play out in real time. The next obvious milestone is $40, and after that, eyes will turn towards the psychological and historical beast that is $50 — the level that silver’s only hit twice before, briefly, in 1980 and again in 2011.

But what if this time… it doesn’t stop there?

There’s real energy in this move. Momentum. Strength. And let’s face it, with everything happening in the global economy — debt, inflation, geopolitical instability, energy transition demands, and strained physical supply chains — it makes less sense for silver to stay undervalued than to rise to meet its actual utility and scarcity.

Back when I first started stacking, I could only dream about a proper bull market for silver. It was always about to happen. We told ourselves we were early — and maybe we were. But now, it finally feels like we’re not early anymore. We’re here. I know some will still hesitate. That’s fair. But for me, this breakout has only strengthened my resolve. I’ve never sold a single ounce since 2015, and I won’t be starting now. This is a long game — and silver’s finally starting to play for keeps. So whether you’re a seasoned stacker or someone new to the shine, keep your eyes open. $50 silver might be closer than we think
