The story behind my favourite hand-poured STEEM silver bar: A monster pour with a personal touch...

There are pieces in every stack that carry more than just weight in silver—they carry weight in meaning. One such piece in my collection stands out not just for its size or purity, but for the story behind it. A true monster of a bar: 12.5 troy ounces of .9999 fine silver. But this isn’t just any poured bar—it’s a piece of community history, collaboration, and creative pride.
Over seven years ago, @raybrockman, a name well-known in our silver stacking circles, put out a call to arms. He wanted to create a unique round or bar that would represent his stack—something truly personal—and he invited the community to submit designs. It was a chance for artists and stackers alike to leave a mark. I still remember sketching my idea, unsure if it would strike the right chord. But it did.
To my surprise, my design was chosen. It felt surreal—seeing something I’d created, something that lived only on paper, being brought to life in molten silver. But the real moment of awe came weeks later when a parcel arrived at my door. Inside was a beastly 12.5oz bar—my design. It turns out @raybrockman had asked the legendary stackingAK47 to pour two of these bars, and in an incredible gesture of generosity, he sent the second one to me as a thank-you for gifting him the winning design.
This bar hasn’t left my community pour chest since. It sits proudly among other cherished pieces, but none with quite the same blend of meaning, memory, and molten craftsmanship. The deep stamp of the design still catches the light just right, and the raw, hand-poured edges remind me that silver stacking is about far more than ounces and premiums—it’s about connections, creativity, and shared stories.
I’ll always be grateful to @raybrockman for the opportunity and his generosity, and to stackingAK47 for the perfect pour. This bar is a permanent part of my stack—and my story.
