Are you bringing back the redistribution games?
I think making us pick the spread doesn't spread the rewards far enough, it is too hard to win.
I agree that a spread needs to be used to get more people on the weak teams's side, but if they beat the spread the folks that picked the right team should share equally.
Picking the spread is a shot in the dark for most of us, and that feature would keep me from wanting to take the time to play.
We deduce you are talking about the new Free Play format, understand what you are saying, we will be trying something new whereby the people who guess the exact score will win 50% of the pool and the rest of the people who guessed close will share the other 50%. (up to 20 people max because we are paying out manually for now)
We will be doing this new type of re-distribution game twice a week or so, The main focus now is on Pay Plays, to try and build those pools and our userbase so that we can take steemsports.com to market and attract outside players to purchase Steem.
If you have to do the payouts by hand that would be a drag.

Its a little time consuming but i think the community deserves the effort. BTW I will be paying out the entire winning outcome, not a maximum of 20. :)
Sweet, without steemsports I am still under 300 sp.
