RE: Speak on Steem Proposal Update #1: Essentials, IPFS, Content Editors and more. [BIG UPDATE]

Yes, from now it's limited to 750 MB/user as we are in a testing stage. We will be upgrading the system to offer more space, set your own IPFS node or even expand your storage by paying mothly/yearly in a near future.

We will be also adding the possibility to delete old content to free up some storage, however our goal will be always try to preserve the user's content.

The content deletion doesn't affect our post, right? Also, I just found out something: three upload patterns. We cant go about with the embedded link way of uploading and does this still affect our storage

Hi,

Well, on IPFS you can’t "delete" your content, just UnPin it. Unpinning a content will just delete it from the node where it was stored, however, other nodes may pin it.

If your content is unpinned by all nodes in the network, it will not be available anymore.

Of course this is not the ideal path, we are still exploring all possible solutions!

Can you be more specific in your question?

Hugs for you! Let me know if you have any other doubt
