This is the core traditional way of preparing Atama. The kernel process of extracting oil is the best method you can ever use to give your atama taste. You've shown this traditionally. My mother doesn't joke with this method at all. Best of luck....

You are absolutely correct!
Extracting oil from palm fruit for this meal is the best because it gives the soup the right/ natural flavor. As an Akwa Ibomite, when I see people using those sachet artificial extract that is being processed industrially, it makes me feel weird. 😃
