Hi guys welcome to my cooking vlog, today I'm going to be showing you a special recipe that is not often cooked in my locality It is very special and of course you know it is so nutritious if it wasn't nutritious I wouldn't have bring it up.

There is this creature that is called giant African land snail, It is seen both in land and water.

People really cook it but believe me it is 100% nutritious, let me briefly tell you an experience I got some years ago.

I remembered when I was pregnant and for some certain reaction, I couldn't eat well and then my PCV was very low so I was asked to transfuse blood so as to help my growing baby but then I decided to go on natural foods because I don't accept blood.

I choose this African giant land snail as one of the natural recipe to help me build my blood level to my surprise within 2 weeks my PCV boosted from 26 to 40%.

I use different recipe to consume it, is either I cook it and then eat it from the shell or I use it to cook food, I use different recipe and I made sure I consume it regularly till the results was found.

You see why I say that it is very nutritious but it is not often used so the next time you see this African giant land snail in the market stop by and buy it take it home and enjoy it.

Anyway, back to my food blog, So I'll be telling you how I prepared this now for my food. I used it to cook okra soup you know we Africans we have different recipe of cooking our soup and of course different ingredients depending on how affordable it is but believe me using this snail is very affordable in the market right now.

I washed it, boiled it then removed the snail from the shell, washed it thoroughly then set it aside for steaming.

I used fresh salt water fish to cook the soup, so after cutting it to pieces this way, I used hot water and salt to wash it very well, removing sand and dirt.
