in #steemvideo15 days ago

Hi guys welcome to my cookingvlog today, I'm going to be showing you how to cook african stew.

My little sister use to say like saying that "a house without rice and stew is like a car without a gas" then she will add "e go soon stew" anytime you hear us say this just now that she's planning something huge something special a very nice recipe it could be stew or it could be another nice meal.

Why am I bringing this to this post It is because still in African homes is always value by all children, It is your favourite and of course they want to eat it everyday.

So while preparing this particular stew my daughter and her cousin were in the kitchen singing and dancing and it reminds me how we used to be when my mum is preparing stew that's exactly how we used to do, we sing and play around knowing that stew is cooking.

A lot of people have their own different recipe of stew. Some people even have their own best protein that they use in preparing their stew they can use fish chicken beef good meat cow skin etc.

Personally I don't select the kind of protein I use in my stew likewise my family members. So I decided to use any protein of my choice to make my own stew. Also I did not fail to go in with veggies because I like eating my stew fresh.

So let's go in and prepare this one right now come with me to my kitchen.

Welcome to my kitchen this to you I used beef to prepare it so I first of all wash my beef with white vinegar and salt to be sure all dirt and sand are thoroughly out.

Ingredients

I added onions to it and stire consistently

1000502077.jpg

I added beef and continue stirring the pot.

1000502080.jpg

I added seasonings and spices mixed together

1000502081.jpg

I added Fresh tomatoes which help that tomato flavour to be pronounced in the stew.

1000502086.jpg

I added fresh carrot to the stew, it's flavour is unique and it gives that crunchy taste

1000502088.jpg

I added Pepper to it, of course the flavour was nice

This stew, you can eat it with white rice plantain potato yam anything of your choice. So many people enjoyed rice with you and that is the reason I prepared rice to go with my stew.

In a typical African home where you have children, you can stay in a week without preparing rice and stew because it is always children's favourite food. So in this case, some mothers do prepare it every weekend so they can enjoy it during the weekend or during the week so they can enjoy it during their lunch hour in school.

Thank you for reading, enjoy watching my food video on how I carried out the cooking.

Byeee see you in my next cooking.
