The Diarygame September 7, 2025: A Memorable Day at Chatt Mami
Hello steemians,
Early September always feels calmer. The crowds thin out, the beaches breathe again, and the sun is still warm enough to enjoy the sea without the peak-season rush. On September 7, I spent the day at Chatt Mami a small seaside spot in the Bizerte area of Tunisia with a few close friends. What made it special wasn’t just the view, the turquoise water meeting the distant mountains but the laughter, the games, and that easy sense of freedom we carried all day.

When we arrived, the sun was shining through light clouds, giving everything a soft glow. The waves rolled in with a steady rhythm, and the sand warm and golden stretched out in front of us. The contrast between the sparkling water and the hills behind it made the place look like a postcard.

But a beach day isn’t only about the scenery. We wanted to make the most of it swimming, sure, but also playing and actually reconnecting like we rarely get to in everyday life. We set up a casual game of beach volleyball, split into teams, and turned the sand into our little arena. Playing on sand is different every move takes more effort, and every stumble ends in laughter. The game quickly became a highlight, full of surprisingly good plays, silly mistakes, and loud cheers carried by the sea breeze.

Afterward we slowed down. Some stretched out on their towels, others cooled off in the water. I stood at the shoreline for a while, watching the waves repeat their timeless pattern. Around us, kids built sandcastles and ran in and out of the surf while their parents watched, and farther down the beach, couples walked hand in hand, their footprints fading with the tide. The beach somehow brought everyone together while still giving each person space.

Later, a few of us took a walk along the shore. We passed small beach cafes, hammocks under straw umbrellas, and vendors selling drinks and snacks. The place was simple and relaxed lively without being noisy just enough comfort to enjoy the Mediterranean for what it is.

I took plenty of photos and a few selfies not just of the scenery, but of the day itself: friends smiling in the sun, light bouncing off the water, those small, priceless moments that make the best memories. Looking back at them, you can see the story right there happiness on our faces, easy body language, and a laid-back mood that didn’t need many words.

By the afternoon, the sun dipped a bit lower, stretching the shadows and tinting the sky with soft gold. We played one more short round of volleyball less intense, more laughs then just sat together in the sand, talking and enjoying the cooler breeze.
When it was time to go, I felt really grateful not only for Chatt Mami’s blend of sea, sand, and mountains, but for the friends who made the day what it was. It reminded me that the best experiences aren’t always big trips or far-off places. Sometimes they’re right nearby, made special by the people you share them with.

This outing to Chatt Mami will remain in my memory as one of the highlights of the year, a day when time slowed down, nature revealed its charm, and friendship turned simple activities into unforgettable experiences.
