Cuando conmemoramos un año más de la resistencia indígena cada 12 de octubre, no debemos olvidar que no solo el pueblo indígena tuvo que soportar o resistir el colonialismo y la esclavitud.
La población negra también se negó a dejar morir sus tradiciones y cultura. La americana toda alberga una rica cultura gracias a la mezcla de mucha gente. Blancos, indios y negros son las raices de nuestra gente.
Hoy comparto un recuerdo de residencia. La muñeca abayomi es una de ellas. Tiene un poderoso significado y un recordatorio maravilloso. A continuación te explico su significado y como realizarla.

Abayomi Doll. Symbol of love and resistance
As we commemorate another year of Indigenous resistance every October 12th, we must not forget that it wasn't only Indigenous people who had to endure or resist colonialism and slavery.
The Black population also refused to let their traditions and culture die. The entire American continent is home to a rich culture thanks to the intermingling of many people. White, Indigenous, and Black people are the roots of our people.
Today I'm sharing a souvenir of my hometown. The abayomi doll is one of them. It has a powerful meaning and a wonderful reminder. Below, I'll explain its significance and how to make it.
