SpeemClips is a totally new way of creating and consuming content in Steem and the web 3.0, it consists of a modern system of content in vertical size with infinite Scroll, empowered with an algorithm that will analyze your interests and provide you with content that really connects with you.

In the video of this publication you will see the initial configuration process where the system will ask you some topics that are of interest to you. With a process that takes less than a minute, you can have a quality personalized experience.

The Clips will use all the content that we have already received through IPFS and will continue to be nourished every day with the new publications of the users. To provide a much better and less repetitive experience, the algorithm will omit content that you have already seen previously so that you are always discovering new and interesting content.

The Algorithm

We have initially fed the algorithm with some initial themes that will be crucial for it to take into account the content precisely, if you want to appear in the User Feed you must work on your titles, your SEO, and your tags; now the tags will be more important than ever, so think carefully when placing them.

The algorithm will take into account various factors such as the publication date of the post; the title; the body of the post; the tags; and the visits that the publications have. With these parameters it will calculate a system of scores and mix the results a little to offer a fairly diverse and nourished list especially for each user according to their preferences.

The algorithm will remember your preferences on any device where you start that session so just by entering your account from anywhere you will already have your content specially served.

Upgrades and improvements

When creating publications, users can choose whether they want their content to be seen in the traditional format or as clips in vertical format, The system will also be able to suggest to the user the format that best suits him. This will only affect the way you see the content when entering it from a profile, or pages like /new or /top. The content will still be discoverable through Clips if it was uploaded with IPFS.

Improvements have also been implemented in the editor to disable the publish buttons when uploading a video since many users proceeded with its publication before the end of the upload. The upload progress information of the videos has been improved to make it easier for the user to know whether it was uploaded or not.

It is also recommended to check the Preview of the publication before finally publishing.
