Is it just me, or are the whales sucking up even more?
If you watch your vote value, dear reader, you will see that it goes up and down in relation to the price.
Your vote can be above, or below, the dust cut off while the price remains the same.
For you newbs, and/or mathematically challenged minnows, this variation is a direct result of how much the whales are voting.
Your vote goes down when a whale votes.
Cheering stinc delegations and begging whales for votes is cutting your own throat.
Steem is a zero sum game.
The daily rewards are capped.
Divided ~20k ways it doesn't add up to much.
It doesn't add up to much, period.
About 10,000 usd per day.
So, dear reader, let's do some math.
30% of that goes to the bid bots.
30% is controlled by the top 15 voting accounts.
~38% for the balance of the top 100 voting accounts.
The rest of us are fighting for crumbs that fall from the gaping mouths of the greedy.
Most of those folks do just fine in life.
They just like taking candy from babies, I guess.
Add to this that you arent getting a whale vote anymore, unless you pay for it, and there isn't much incentive to play this game, anymore.
The lottery facet of steem has been removed.
Before linear rewards the n2 hindered this abuse.
Just going back to the 4 post soft cap on rewards and doubling votes to 20 per day would help, but then stinc, et al, couldn't suck up as much as quick, so that is out, eh?
We were intentionally handed this by stinc, et al, so they could stretch out their money grubbin', imo.
They said enabling proof of wallet would save us from the greedy whales.
They hurried up and forked the community response out.
It was containing the abuse by flagging abusers.
Does it matter if it is a scam or ineptness that collapses the price?
Here we are irregardless of what recriminations can be borne by whom.
So, what do we do?
We beg our coder overlords to give back proof of brain?
We beg the whales to contain those that abused it?
Wait for 10 cent steem, buy a bunch, and be a bag holding orca?
You got to decide for you, dear reader.
@ausbitbank has been supporting @informationwar for a long time. What about the support Minnow Support Project receives? Ancaps lurk in every corner I'm sure some of them are whales.
Yup we have a few great whales that support us at @informationwar with delegations and curation follows without them we wouldn't be able to build up the truth seeking community on steemit. Our community uses our brains and encourages other to use them as well. It's too bad that many of the whales would rather support artsy/crafty/gamer topics like color challenges than support more in-depth and controversial topics that challenge the mind and attracts more free thinkers to the platform. Instead we see many folks that just want to make a few bucks by posting some pretty pictures they found on the internet in hopes of attracting a whale upvote. I'm all for proof a brain and supporting unique content on this platform.
@ausbitbank muted me months ago.
Minnow support project, among others, do a better job redistributing from the bottom to the top than the other way around.
Steem-ua didnt even bother to deny it.
Ganging up to increase rewards is real classy, if you ask me.
As is using the math to clown folks that don't know math.
A couple of whales do claim to be anarchist.
Maybe one or two are anarchists, but the rest are crapitalusts.
They were warned that treating steem as their personal one armed bandit wouldn't help the price, but until recently they thought they had plenty of fresh fish.
By accepting their payoffs they buy goodwill that lets them continue to do what they do.
Some of them are doing great things.
Linear rewards haven't saved us from the abusive whales.
Bring back proof of brain, imo.
Curated for #informationwar (by @wakeupnd)
Ways you can help the @informationwar!
I don't know, but my steemmonsters cards are probably worth more than my steemit account at this point.
Mine definitely are :-)

Yeah, if that guy would stop with the bot, he would be ok.
We need proof of brain, back.
@magic8ball?
I think magic8ball saw the writing on the wall, and skipped outta here FBA???
Yoo-Hoooooo...@magic8ball...Where are you?????
I dont know, maybe he only takes so many calls a day?
Did you sign into steem-engine.com and see your 500 Simoleons?
You can't do anything with them, except send and receive, but at some point they will trade.
They haven't released that part, yet.
No...I didn't know I had any 'Simoleons' awaiting me? Thanks for letting me know.
How did I get them?
Airdrop.
I created them from nothing.
Now i just have to convince people that they have value.
Well then...I'll have to go and collect my bounty courtesy of FBA.
That shouldn't be too difficult...the creators of 'Steem' have convinced many...follow their example, and you'll be able to move from your campground to a Penthouse soon enough :>)
Lokks like it will take some effort, i hope i get it done,...
I have confidence in you FBA...Keeping the 'good' in it for 'others' as well, can be a great motivating factor.
