  • OLEANDER FLOWER

Oleander, or Nerium oleander, is a brightly flowering shrub, known for its blooms in colors such as white, pink, red, and yellow. Native to the Mediterranean, it grows well in warm climates and prefers sunny, well-drained soil with moderate watering. It can reach heights of up to 4.5 meters and benefits from regular pruning. All parts of the oleander, including flowers, leaves, stems, seeds, and roots, are toxic. This toxicity is due to substances called cardiac glycosides, which can affect heart function and cause serious symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, and shortness of breath. It is important to avoid ingesting oleander and to be careful when planting it in the garden, keeping it away from children and pets. Although oleander is beautiful and has cultural significance, its poisonous nature demands that it be handled with care. If any part of the plant is ingested, it is important to seek medical attention immediately. Thank you all for visiting my blog.
