Ruscus is a genus of six species of flowering plants in the family of Asparagaceae. It’s native to western & southern Europe, Macaronesia, northwestern Africa, southwestern Asia east to the Caucasus. Not a medical advice but the root is said to be used to make medicine. Chemicals in butcher's broom might cause the blood vessels to narrow or constrict. This might improve blood circulation in the legs. It's known for improving blood circulation, possessing anti-inflammatory effects & providing moisturizing & soothing benefits for the skin.
Additionally, Ruscus can be used as a ground cover or for borders, adding year-round greenery to gardens.
