The ramgoat dashalong or yellow alder which is a very unique & beautiful species of flowering plant in the family of Passifloraceae. It’s native to Mexico & the West Indies. A recent study researched found that yellow alder potentiated the antibiotic activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

It's known for its showy, year-round yellow flowers and is used as a ground cover and border plant. Medicinally, it has been traditionally used to treat gastrointestinal issues, colds, flu, and circulatory problems. Additionally, it can help with soil stabilization on slopes & in dry areas.

In the Southern America, its leaf extract is used to treat many conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, tumors, influenza, chronic pain and inflammation. It is mainly used in the northeastern region of Brazil, where it is also used to treat amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea, being consumed as tea or infusions.
