Two sepparate stories
Annabelle The Goat
In a quiet, remote village, there lived a poor old man whose only companion was his beloved goat, Annabelle. She had been by his side for years, providing him with warmth and companionship in his humble life. But as time passed, his small pension was barely enough to sustain them both. Faced with a heartbreaking decision, he resolved to send Annabelle away, hoping she would find a better life elsewhere.
With a heavy heart, the old man purchased a bus ticket and sent Annabelle off to the nearest town. He bid her farewell, believing he had done what was best for her. But to his astonishment, just two days later, Annabelle returned, trotting back into the village as if she had never left.
Determined to secure a future for Annabelle, the old man saved up again and took her to the town himself. This time, he placed her on a train bound for the big city, convinced that the greater distance would ensure her a new life. Relieved, he returned home, believing he had made the right choice. But a week later, to his utter disbelief, Annabelle appeared at his doorstep once more, as determined as ever to stay by his side.
However, something had changed. After her brief time in the city, Annabelle had developed a taste for luxury. No longer content with simple village fare, she now craved broccoli, asparagus, caviar, and even tiramisu. The old man, who could barely afford bread and milk for himself, found it impossible to meet her newfound demands.
Realizing that he had to take drastic action, he gathered every last bit of his savings and set off for the city one final time, Annabelle in tow. This time, they headed straight to the airport. There, with a sorrowful heart, the old man bought a ticket for the first transatlantic flight he could find and sent Annabelle far away, across the ocean to a foreign land.
As he watched the plane disappear beyond the horizon, he felt a mix of sadness and relief. He had done all he could for his beloved goat, ensuring that she would have the opportunity for a new life far from their struggling village.
Days passed, then weeks, then months... and Annabelle never returned.
The Mean Boss
The director of a major newspaper corporation was a notorious prankster, known for his mean-spirited jokes at the expense of his employees. One day, he devised what he believed to be the ultimate prank. Gathering all his reporters, he announced with great urgency that Arnold Schwarzenegger was arriving on the next flight, and they needed to cover his arrival before any other media outlet.
Excited and determined, the reporters rushed to the airport, eager for an exclusive. However, Schwarzenegger never arrived. Instead, to everyone's surprise, Sylvester Stallone stepped off the plane. What was meant to be a joke turned into a scoop, as the reporters quickly shifted gears, capturing interviews and photos with the legendary action star. The director’s plan had backfired—his reporters had unknowingly struck gold.
Frustrated but not defeated, the director decided to double down the next day. This time, he claimed that Ariana Grande was visiting for a concert and sent his reporters to the airport once more. Skeptical but bound by their duty, they followed orders. And once again, fate played against the director’s prank. Instead of Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift arrived. The reporters, stunned by their luck, quickly captured interviews and exclusive footage. The paper's headlines the next day were a sensation, while the director fumed at his failed attempt to trick his staff.
Determined to have the last laugh, the director devised one final, foolproof plan. On the third day, he gathered the reporters and confidently declared that Donald Trump himself was flying in. Smirking to himself, he believed he had finally found a name so outrageous that no conveniently arriving celebrity could overshadow his fake story.
The reporters, by now wary of his tricks, hesitated but still made their way to the airport, just in case. As they waited, the moment of truth arrived—the plane landed, the doors opened, and out walked… who? Can you guess? Annabelle!
