My Visit to Ladies Park

Yesterday I went to Ladies Park in my area. Right outside the park I saw many street fruit carts lined up on the roadside. It was afternoon time and the place was busy. Families were coming out of the park some children were eating ice cream and many people stopped to buy fresh fruit.

I saw three carts in total but one cart caught my attention. It was run by a very young boy of only 15 years old. He looked simple and shy but he was working hard to sell fruit to support his family. I went to his cart and decided to buy grapes from him.

Fruits on the Cart

His fruit cart was very colorful. All the fruits were neatly arranged in baskets which looked very attractive. Here is what he was selling with their prices:

The way he arrange the fruits in basket made them look even more delcious

My Experience

I bought 1 kg of grapes for 250 PKR (7 STEEM). They were fresh and sweet and I enjoyed them very much. Since I was tired after walking in the park the grapes gave me instant energy.

At first I felt shy about making video and taking picture because many people were looking at me. even my mother told me not to do it But I wanted to share this story for the challenge so I working hard and captured both photo and a video of the fruit stall

04. How important do you think the role of these businesses is in health and nutrition?
These small fruit businesses is very important for health and nutrition. Fruits give us vitamin mineral and energy Not everyone can go to big supermarket but these roadside carts make healthy food cheap and easy to buy for everyone. Without them many poor families would not be able to eat fruit daily.

This young boy inspired me a lot. At the age of 15 he is working hard under the hot sun instead of spending his time playing like other children. His cart is his familys main source of income. He smiled while selling fruit but behind that smile is a big responsibility.

Street fruit vendors may look small in size but their work is very big in value. They provide affordable food keep our society healthy and also support their families with dignity.
