Steemit Challenge Season 27 Week 01 - Supermarket

In every town in Nigeria, there is a supermarket that sells goods to people, and some of these supermarkets they goods that are expensive, whereas others do not. However, it all depends on the quality of the goods and where they are sourced from. I was fortunate to visit an old supermarket outside my town.

KC Rems venture

Location and Background

KC Rems Venture is located in Keffi, by FMC Keffi, 6 Akwanga Road, Keffi 961101, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The supermarket is a local chain that sells quality goods, and it was registered on 1st July 2008, which means the supermarket has been in the area for 17 years.

Size and Layout

KC Rems Venture is a small supermarket with several others located outside Keffi. The particular one that I visited in Keffi is just one of the branches of the supermarket.

The supermarket is well arranged and I like the arrangement of the sections of the grocery items, bakery, frozen, and household. The sections help customers not to be confused about what to buy, and they also help with the easy identification of items.

Product Variety

The supermarket sells both local and imported items. Local items are cheaper than imported items. However, items are being arranged and placed in the same section with a price tag written on them. There are cosmetics and electronic items sold in the supermarket.

Pricing and Discounts

There is a price tag to every item in the supermarket, and all the items in the supermarket are affordable based on individual preference. As for loyalty cards, discounts, or seasonal sales, the supermarket doesn't offer such services.

Customer Service

There is good customer service in the supermarket, and the staff are all friendly and helpful, ready to guide customers and even assist them with shopping.

Facilities and Amenities

The parking space for vehicles, machines, etc, is not large; it is very small. Even with the small parking space, I haven't heard customers complaining because people don't park their cars outside of the supermarket for long.

Hygiene and Safety

There is a hand sanitiser place at the entrance of the supermarket and water in a small container by the side of the hand sanitiser for hygiene and safety.

Personal Experience

I prefer this supermarket because it is a nice supermarket with affordable items and good customer service.
