Shop smart, shop with market Square.

Welcome to my blog and to the first week of season 27 of learning challenge.

What makes this place Special to me

What is special about this supermarket is that they stand out in their wide range of products. They have vast arrays of products like fresh vegetables, fruits🍓 🍑, wines and groceries.

Fresh fruits

Because of their vast arrays of products it makes it a one stop shop for buying our daily needs which makes them very special to me.

Uniqueness

Personally I find hem unique because the have both local and international food items. Most supermarket in my area do not have international food items like Mole sauce, salsas, Italian pasta cookies, and some fruit that are not cultivated here in Nigeria such as kiwi, fresh grapes 🍇, and strawberries but when you walk into market Square there are all available and in good condition.

Convenient

This supermarket is convenient because they have many pay point and ATM services. Unlike some other supermarket that have just few cahier that attended to customers. Here in market Square they have 15 pay point which makes their service very convenient

Location and Background

Market Square supermarket is located here in Akwa Ibom At Udoudma Avenue, Uyo Akwa Ibom State.
It has both local and international brand of products.
It's has our local food items that you can shop and at the same time foreign products though the price will be a little bit higher because it is being imported.
This supermarket has been in my area over six years now and it's services, quality and uniqueness is still intact.

Size and Layout

This supermarket is very large and covers many sections like groceries, cosmetics, bakery, frozen items, children toys, household goods and lot more.

Product Variety

It has area for both local and imported items ranging from fresh vegetables, fruits, cosmetics and electronic.

Domestic section

Pricing and Discounts

Their prices are fixed. There is no bargaining of price there. Their prices is more affordable when compared to other supermarket in my area of residence.
They have both VIP loyalty card and for regular customer's.
They sometimes run discount and clearance sales on some products that has a limited shelf life.
During Easter and Christmas season they usually do seasonal sales.
Varieties of products will be packed in a basket 🧺, sealed with transparent nylon for particular price.

Quality and Freshness

They have good quality products as many people go in there to buy. So their fresh fruits, vegetables and meat are always fresh. Their meat do not get rotten same as their fish.
They do not sell expired goods and if their goods is about to expire, they will
sale it out at discounted prices.
Their items are always clean and neatly arranged.
There is no dust on their items even as plenty as it is.

Customer Service

They have friendly and we'll mannered staff who are always available to assist me and other people when they are shopping.

I can remember in most cases if I can't find what I was looking for, I will just go straight to one of their and asked him or her to show me where I can get the item.
They will calmly direct me to where I can find the items and other times they will just go with me and show me there the items are placed.
They also values customer's feedback. That is why hey have feedback box where customers can drop their feedback and they work on improving any thing that needed to be improved.
At the moment, I can't find any fault in their service or product. So I give them positive feedback.

They do not waste time in there checkout counter because they have over 15 checkout counters and cashiers.

Facilities and Amenities

They have a very large packing space where the vehicles are well arranged by their security. They have trolleys and restroom facilities where customers can use the convenience while shopping and needed to do so.

Hygiene and Safety

Their shop is always neat and I usually see their cleaners sweeping and mopping the floor. Like I said earlier, their products are not always dusty. They clean and keep them I good condition. Well packed.

They have security personnel in their premises and outside the premises. They also make sure people don't go in with anything harmful and dogs.
They maintain social distance during pandemic and also have hand sanitiser.

My Experience

I prefer to shop here because I will see all what I want there and at affordable priceses. They do not sell expired items and their vegetables are always fresh and available.
I like shopping here because I can see foreign products here and buy even though it will be expensive.
I remembered when a contest required the used of kiwi 🥝. I couldn't find it any where else could except in market Square.
When one of my guest wanted to make Shawarma, we couldn't find the Shawarma feeling and wrapped elsewhere except in this very supermarket.

This supermarket is always open from Monday 8:am to Sunday 10pm.
They opened everyday of the week.
