I think this place is just a mirror for who you are and what you place your values in!

Character and integrity is great in theory but unless it’s tested by having power or influence it means well nothing much to anyone but you!

I’m not one to dictate others behavior I only have control over my own and like you I just say what’s on my mind if you like it cool if you don’t like it cool! I think that’s how you find value in these places by being who you are and letting those who resonate with your message find you, so you have to be consistent if you a dick, be one and let the dicks find you and you can touch tips online regularly

I do think open and decentralized social media is the future but I think both us here and those in the central world need to bump our heads a few times before we meet one another eventually! Lots of kinks and growing pains to work out, will steem be the winner I don’t know but I’m here to see where this whole thing goes!

Sadly the rest of the internet has become pretty boring to me, only really blockchain and AI fascinates me right now!

I see you tagged a Zulu word Ubuntu so I guess I can call you an Umlungu now, that’s Zulu for white dude

    I can see where you're coming from that integrity is only theoretical until it's tested by that which can corrupt..

    Although, personally I'm not really interested in proving my ideals are equitable or a commodity to anyone. If power and influence are bestowed upon one or are the will of the people then so be it, if power is sought out by an individual with politically motivated ambitions it's unlikely I will ever believe they have integrity.. Politics aren't my thing and I mostly distrust anyone that fancies themselves as someone that thinks they are fit to speak for me, much less any collective voice..

    Those are the tip touchers, they can toil away for votes and a life of people pleasing in the open and more than just the tip behind closed doors..

    I agree the rest of the internet has become quite dull, and I'm glad to be here to steer my steem ship.

    I'll add umlungu to my ever growing vocabulary for white dude feel free to call my honkey or whatever as well..

    I love the concept of Ubuntu, I still find it amazing that the commonality between nearly every ideology is an interpretation of the golden rule, yet it's the very morality that evades us and thus feeds the illusion of separation.
