2025 월드서핑리그 시흥 코리아 오픈
세계 정상급 서퍼들이 출전하는 '2025 월드서프리그(WSL) 시흥 코리아 오픈 국제 서핑대회'가 18일 경기 시흥 웨이브파크에서 개막했다. 20일까지 사흘간의 열전에 돌입한다.
이번 대회는 세계 최초로 인공 파도 풀에서 열리는 월드서프리그(World Surf League) QS 6000 공식 대회로 16개국 192명의 선수가 출전해 역대 최대 규모로 치러진다.
특히 이번 대회는 2028년 LA 올림픽 출전 포인트 획득 기회가 주어지는 국제 서핑대회여서 국내외 서핑계의 비상한 관심이 모이고 있다.

I'm so stoked to see a world-class surfing event happening in Korea, especially with it being held at the innovative Wave Park. A QS 6000 event in an artificial wave pool is a groundbreaking move by the World Surf League, and the fact that it's the largest WSL event in Korea ever makes it even more exciting.
