The tactic as that is what it is, of controlling the debate and narrative by shutting down the opposition seems to me, was started with the term conspiracy theorist in the 1960's, thought up by the CIA to shut down debate about the obvious multiple shooters, re Kennedy assassination.
Then the term Anti Semitic to shut down any 6 million figure debate (ww2) and any critisism with regards to what the Zionist government does to the Palestinians.
This morphed into gender, so calling a man hating feminist for what they are or any other made up gender, gets you the label "bigot".

All of this is by design, none of it is by accident, all designed to foment hatred and resentment, so the "establishment" or supposed elite. Can implement even more security, for your own sake, whilst running off with all the money "they" print in the first place. Take away private central banks, all this goes away naturally.
