Good to see you're still hanging around. I watched the video, shocking I know, even more amazing I'm actually commenting on a post. Not shocking because it's me but just because real interactions are becoming increasingly rare here and as this eloquent young lady has pointed out I believe we have fostered a culture of agree or perish everywhere on earth. Saying something, anything at all has become risky, especially considering the world requires non native English speakers to express themselves in their secondary or tertiary language.. Thus, we have seen this safe and sanitized form of speech come to dominate our shared but not necessarily shared realities.

Disagreement is often seen as a personal attack and immediately gives rise to off colour remarks that accomplish nothing except distracting everyone from the real issues. This tactic is perhaps the most destructive pattern in modern society and serves as the impetus for acts of aggression as it seems painfully obvious we live in a world where people are unable or unwilling to simply listen and attempt to remedy unfortunate situations with conflict resolution.. If people won't listen the logical progression is to show them often by force and no regard for morality or ethics..

I refuse to allow anyone else or most especially a conglomerate to act as my mouthpiece. I also have no problem whatsoever speaking my mind and saying what might make someone else uncomfortable. If I am wrong or misinformed I also can easily admit I fucked up and I'm grateful to have seen something from a more accurate or lucid perspective..

The issues in the land of Ikea are shared in many countries and seemingly coming to a head. Hopefully we can find, not fund, a solution to the chaos and insanity before the disease of madness consumes the world. Reviving the ability to communicate and empathise with others would be a start..
