Despite the massive presence of firearms in a country of just under 9 million people, the gun homicide rate in Switzerland is very low, with 0.5 cases per 100,000 people.
That's exactly why the gun homicide rate is low in Switzerland.
If I wanted to commit a crime using a gun, I would think twice knowing that most of the people possess/carry/know how to handle a gun in that country.
Something that short-sighted people fighting for gun control always fail to understand.
