I think they are going for the pockets that are left. Like the complex pocket in the South, Daraa, where also Isis has a pocket of its own next to the Golan Heights. Once that task done, I think they should get rid of the Americans that block the road between Damascus and Bagdad in the South East. After that is done, it's time for the Big Deal. Taking on the Murican backed rebels in the East and reconquer the oilfields east of the Euphrates river. Russia should install a no-fligh zone above Eastern Syria for non Syrian backed airplanes. After that they should head north and get rid of the Muricans south of the Euphrates in and around Al Tabqa base. After all that is done, they can start cleaning up Idlib where it's full of deported jihadi's. And then it's time for a political aggreement with the Kurds. But before that happens, you could imagine 1 or 2 more years of fighting and negotiating.
