The global race for humanoid robotics has gained a new chapter that can change both factories and our homes. The Shenzen-based Chinese startup X Square Robot raised more than $100 million in investments and unveiled two strategic pieces, the WALL-A, its open source model, and the QUANTA
The company has ambitions and aims to create the world's robotics brain platform, an open foundation that can train robots of multiple shapes and functions. WALL-A solves critical problems that limited current AI, such as catastrophic forgetting, when new learning erases previous knowledge, and the decoupling between vision, language and action.
By integrating everything and a continuous system it allows robots to learn, adapt and execute complex tasks in real time. This advance is already materialized in the QUANTA X2, each arm is equipped with a dexterous hand with 20 degrees of freedom, capable of manipulating everything from delicate objects to robust tools.
The wheeled chassis guarantees mobility in different spaces and a teleoperation system with gestures and expressions makes interaction more acceptable. In other words, the QUANTA X2 not only executes commands, it plans, decides, adapts like a real potential robotic butler
