The mouse !!

in #technology6 years ago

The mouse I've been using for a while decided to call it quits on me by issuing double clicks randomly when you click the left mouse button.

That is very undesirable, especially if you are doing internet shopping.. Things become double the amount.

So I decided to just go to a local computer store called "Challenger". The stores are located everywhere throughout Singapore... take a look at this

I would have loved to buy the logitech mouse that can do multiple devices with the "Flow" feature... look at my previous post here.

But the prices for them are beyond me... S$150 for the top range one. So I settled for a brand I did not know.. called ARMEGGEDDON. I have decided on the TEXTRON SCORPION 3 mouse for S$20 vs it's big brother SCORPION 5 (with 5 buttons)...@ S$25

It's a gaming mouse, but my selection criteria was really bound by price and value.

I could go to Aliexpress and get a generic mouse for S$3.0, but that would take some mailing time... and it would be a flimsy mouse as well.

The packaging is decent... the mouse has RGB LEDs that could rotate colours ! This is officially my very first RGB Mouse.

The shape and size is perfect for me, and more comfortable that my previous demised mouse. the clicks from the buttons are nice, the scroll wheel works smoothly. It even came with a "mouse pad"... but I really would call it a "mouse cloth".. haha

It can work without any drivers, Windows 10 detected it automatically like all mouse. But to utilize it advanced functions like RGB lights and macros, you have to install their drivers which can be found at http://armaggeddon.net

After installing and running the driver, I get an user interface as shown here :

The mouse can go as high as 4800dpi ! this is officially the highest DPI mouse I have.

The macro feature looks interesting, but as I dont really play complex games, dont need 'em macros

For S$20, I think it's a steal, I cant get anything close to this with the Logitech brand (cheapest probably around S$50+)

So this mouse is highly recommended. If you need the macro-features, I suggest you get the 5 buttons version so that you have 2 extra buttons to map your macros to.
