RE: Tell a Story to Me – The Last Forest – @bananafish

I am always astounded by your skill. From the beginning you balance a heavy emotional side with a light sense of playfulness, very much enjoyed the character names, and hearing them all together was a smile at just the moment the sadness in the story needed. The lack of appropriate excitement from the children's side contrasts so poignantly with the mothers reverence for her memory, and her own affection for a mother she lost young. This had me by the hart strings long before the ending. And then that ending, it works as a lynch-pin to make for something more heartbreaking all the way through, especially in the husbands bravado. There are so many layers of sadness here, each a mirror of the loss in the others. Beautifully done <3
