Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S26- W6: ||coloured pottery||"".** this amazing challenge organised by @sualeha . So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic.

The materials used to make the clay pots are as follows:

Half a kilogram of pop
Water
Red paint
An empty cardboard box
Oil for greasing
Paint
Brush
A bottle

Step 1

First, I poured the pop into a bowl and began mixing it by adding water little by little. I kept stirring it with a spoon to avoid lumps and to get a perfect pop solution.

Step 2

When the solution was ready, I added red color and mixed it thoroughly. Since our pop is white, the red color mixed in it created a pink colour.

Step 3

I greased the cardboard box with oil all around and then poured the solution into it. Once the solution was poured, I placed a bottle full of water in the center and set it aside to dry.

Step 4

After it dried for 3 to 4 hours, I tore apart the cardboard box that had been glued to it. And we had a perfect mold.

Step 5

After that, I created a grid design on it with red paint. Then, I drew dots on each hole in the grid with black paint. Then, I painted over it with blue paint. Then, I added a slight wave design with light blue paint. My pot was ready.

It was shallow, so I couldn't plant a tree in it. So, I decided to store jewelry in it. Since pearl jewelry takes up a lot of space, I'll keep it in the dressing room.

One reason for this is that it's made of pop. It could break with even the slightest drop, so I'll keep it in a place inside the dressing room and keep my jewelry there, so it'll be safe.

Absolutely, I'm completely satisfied with the end result of my pot made from pop. It turned out exactly as I envisioned it, and the best part is that it was made on a disposable plate, which we easily separated from the pop, leaving us with a perfectly shaped pot.

To be honest, this is my first time making clay pots, and I was quite worried about breaking them. But my teacher explained it very well, so following his instructions step by step made it easy for me. I hadn't noticed that if you have clay pots at home, you can decorate them and use them. I hadn't even considered these things, but I learned here. It was really cool that we can make good products and use them even at a low cost.
