For this competition, I decided to take my son's old jeans and design them. When I was thinking about what to design, I decided to write our Steemit Style word on it. It came out really well. I hope you like it too.

Customizing a Denim fabric with "Steemit Style" Words

Required Materials

💚 Denim Cloth 💚 Green Fabric Paint 💚 Red Fabric Paint 💚 White Fabric Paint 💚 Golden Fabric Paint 💚 Brushes 💚 Color pencil 💚 Ruler 💚 Pallet or Tray

Step1 :

I took a denim jeans pant, and I spread it out on a table and drew an outline of the word STEEMIT on one of its legs with a colored pencil.

Step 2 :

I took a small ceramic plate and poured green fabric paint into it, and then poured the same amount of white fabric paint and mixed the two together to make a light green color.

Step 3 :

I used a brush to apply the mixed green paint to half of the letters of the word written on the denim pants.

Step 4 :

After painting half of the entire word green, I mixed red and white fabric paints and made pink color to paint the top half, then applied them to the top of the word. Then applied the pink rest of the letter's part

Step 5 :

Then I took gold fabric paint and drew an outline on the word, then I wrote "Style" in small letters at the bottom with black and white paint.

Step 6 :

After that, I put it in front of a fan for half an hour to let the paints dry.

After it dried well, I took it out and put it on my son. The fabric painting I drew was very good. I was happy that I had customized ordinary pants.

2 - Share with us did you face any difficulty finding/searching Denim Fabric or anything else during the activity?

I have already done a lot of artwork with fabric paint. But when I do that, the fabrics are not sewn and remain intact. It is easier to apply the paint by locking it with an anchor or clip, standing, and painting. At the same time, there is no chance of spilling or spraying the paint on the fabric. But I must say that when you lay the pants on the table and paint on them, there is a chance of spilling and dropping the paint on them.

Also, when drawing words, it is difficult to distinguish them from other letters because measurement of the letter is very important for words. It has to be handled carefully, not like other designs.

3 - Are you satisfied with your final turned out after Customised by you or not ?

I have been wanting to make a dress like this for a long time, but I haven't had the time to do it. I feel like this opportunity has fulfilled that wish for me. I am very satisfied with this design, and I am very happy to wear the word Steemit on our fabric. Meanwhile, my son is also very happy to wear such unique clothes. When I made this design for him, he was very happy. When I asked him to take a picture, he posed happily.

Yes, there are a lot of denim fabrics available here. There is a city called "Thiruppur" near our town, where denim fabrics and readymade fabrics are manufactured and exported in large quantities. Many denim varieties are manufactured there. Also, there is a world famous "TRIGGER" denim jeans company in Coimbatore city. Here, items like jeans, shirts, jackets, belts, shoes, bags are available in denim fabrics. I like jeans pants and jackets the most.
