Greetings everyone!

Am happy to participate in the first week of season 26 art class, here is my week 1 assignment post

Make a beautiful pot from cement use any design of mold as your convenience ,follow given method in the course ,add detail with step-by-step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of your work.

I started with mixing both the sand and cement together then add water and mixed well.

I proceed to preparing my mold, I used a seal tape to seal the design hole at the back of the mold to avoid sticking out cement when in use, then i greased inside of the mold with oil.

I made a layer before adding plate for the plant hole then l casted the whole mold the kept it in the sun to dry.

After hours of drying I carefully remove the pottery from the mold by pouring hot water on it which helped the mold to detached smoothly I left it in the sun again to dry properly.

I dissolved my paint then painted the pottery and leave it in the sun to dry.

List the prices of the materials you buy for making cement pot making/painting . (prices in your local currency and in STEEM).

Prices of material bought for the purpose of this assignment are as follow,

3 . Did you face any difficulty during tasks or anything regarding purchasing materials?

This was my first time engaging in this kind of activity honestly i was nervous especially the molding part but a smile appeared on my face when it came out fine, the painting was fun it wasn't so stressful infact it was the part i loved most, and about purchasing materials a bag of cement is 10 thousand naira which is equivalent to 50 steem finding a cement store where the sell in kilo was difficult after days of searching i found a store were i could buy in kilo very far from were i reside that was the only challenge i had purchasing materials.

4 . What do you think? Does playing with clay or different materials make you happy /stress-free???

When one has passion for a particular things achieving it will make that person happy right from the store were i purchased my material i was already happy and nervous of how i can make this pot to perfection because i knew if i can achieve a beautiful result it definitely sit in my sitting room i won't say it was perfect but i love the outcome and it made me happy, it wasn't stress free at all because i put in alot of effort also it took hours to achieve it but at the end it was worth all the time and stress.
