"SLC-S26/W1 | Basic tools for pot making /Cement pot"|

Greetings my friends! I am your own shahidalinaz and here for taking part in this amazing challenge. This is my first post in this community and I hope this community will welcome me. Today in this post I am going share share my Cement pot journey. So let's know how I made this!

◉1 . Make a beautiful pot from cement use any design of mold as your convenience ,follow given method in the course ,add detail with step-by-step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of your work.

Here is procedure, how I made cement pot.

👉First step:
I first started wrapping the tape over the top of the basket as per the procedure. After covering the basket completely with tape, I took a small bowl and poured cement into it, mixed it with water, and made a thin liquid of it.

👉Second step:
Then I poured this cement liquid inside the basket and completely covered the basket with it. I spread this cement liquid well on all four sides of the basket.

👉Third Step:
After that, I had a silver steel bowl lying around at home. I thought of keeping it inside the basket, so for that, I first started oiling it and I oiled the bowl thoroughly. My purpose in applying this oil to the bucket was so that the roll that we had to make would attach to the pot so that it would come out easily.

👉Fourth Step:
Then I took a large plate and poured fine soil into it, and then I added cement to it and mixed it well. Then I started adding water to it. After adding water, I made a thick mixture of it. Remember that this mixture should be thick. If it is thin, our port will not be prepared properly. For this, we must make a thick mixture. So the thick mixture is ready to make the pot.

👉Fifth Step:
Then I first poured this mixture into the bottom of the basket, then placed the bucket on top of it, and after that I poured this mixture on all four sides of the bucket, pressed it well, and filled the basket with it. Then I put it to dry.

👉Sixth Step:
I put it in the sun to dry it, and after a whole day of sun, my pot was dry and ready. Then I took it out of the basket.
Its shape was nicely rounded. Then I started painting it. To paint it, I first applied white paint over it. After applying the white paint, I set it aside to dry further.

👉Seventh Step:
When this paint color dried well, I then painted the entire pot with pink paint.
After the pink paint, its color started to look even more beautiful. Then I did more small designs on top of this pot with black, yellow and white paint. And with this designing, the entire process of my flower pot was completed and the final look turned out to be very beautiful, Masha Allah.

After that, I put it to dry and when all the paint was dry, I decorated it even more beautifully with beautiful flowers and my flower pot looked even more beautiful.

◉3 . Did you face any difficulty during tasks or anything regarding purchasing materials?

I have not faced difficulty regarding purchasing material. I purchased everything easily. Everything of need was available near my town's shop. Cement for pot, paint and brushe were easily available. So I did not waste time to finding. One interesting difficulty I faced. It was great fun and stress. The real difficulty faced when I started making the pot. I worked carefully. Unfortunately, when I tried to out cement pot from baskit, my pots broken. Hahahaha 😂. This was disappointed moment and also funny. I had to start again from the zero. It was tiring, but I learned patience. This mistake made me more careful in my next attempt. Finally, I made a strong pot. This small challenge gave me confidence.

◉4 . What do you think? Does playing with clay or different materials make you happy /stress-free???

I am so happy to and stress free after making my pot.I made cement pot first time and result was according to my expectations. Making shape and touching cement took me in my childhood. I felt stress free. Painting is not my favourite but I can do what I made my determination. Stress was gone at making pot and after. Different colours attracts me and somerime I made things like this pots. It was very peaceful time. When I completed pot, I feel proud. This hobby is not my hobby but I like. Making something creative keeps smile on my face. It heals my heart wounds. I say , all my friends should take part in this contest. A few minutes of making pottery can change your thoughts.
