Greeting. How are you? I hope you are well. Today, I will talk about the Test match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

‎You know that three days ago, Bangladesh lost the first match of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at the Osmani Stadium in Sylhet by three wickets. However, Zimbabwe was considered a team that was far behind Bangladesh. That is, Bangladesh could beat them easily. But the reality was different. Which you have seen by yourself.

Bangladesh ‎Captain Shanto won the toss on the first day and decided to bat first. However, captains always decide to field after winning the toss on that ground. However, Bangladesh's two opening batsmen, Sadman and Joy, came out to bat. As usual, the case, they quickly got out and returned to the pavilion. After that, Captain Shanto and former captain Mominul Haque stayed at the crease for some time. Shanto got out, and Mominul took charge of the team. Mominul was responsible for the 191 runs that Bangladesh were able to score in the end.

‎In the first innings, Zimbabwe's two openers, Brian Bennett and Ben Curran, gave a great start to the visitors. They had a great partnership. After Ben Curran was dismissed, the third batsman also returned to the dressing room very quickly. Then Bennett was also dismissed. Williams then took one end forward. All the other Zimbabwean batsmen contributed some runs to the board. Zimbabwe's first innings ended with a lead of 84 runs.

‎In the second innings, Bangladesh's opener Sadman Islam was dismissed very quickly, like the early innings, and returned. Zimbabwe's wicketkeeper Mayabu dropped an easy catch for the other opener Joy. Joy scored 33 runs, and Mominul was dismissed for 47 runs. Thanks to half-centuries from captain Shanto and wicketkeeper Zakir Ali, Bangladesh were able to give Zimbabwe a target of just 174 runs. Zimbabwean pacer Blessing Mujarabani took 6 wickets.

‎Zimbabwe's two openers, Brian Bennett and Ben Curran, finished their second innings on the third day and put on 90 runs on the scoreboard. When Ben Curran was out at the start of the fourth day, Zimbabwe's wickets started falling very quickly. At one point, it seemed that Bangladesh would win. But the brilliant innings of Walton Masakadza and Wesley Madhevere did not let that happen. In the end, Zimbabwe won against Bangladesh by three wickets with one day left.

‎This is their first Test win since 2021. Despite an unwanted result, I want to Congratulations to them on this victory. They deserve it. They were the best team on the ground and got their result.

Do you think that there was some complacency in the Bangladesh team if they were expected to win?

There's till plenty of time to win the series - I assume it's 5 matches..?

I have no idea. By the way, it's a 2-match series, which I mentioned in my post.
