Very interesting!! I remember hearing about that at the time and I just thought it was really funny, but you make a great case about why it's actually inappropriate, and now I have to admit you've convinced me. In theory, getting input about bills from constituents on Twitter is a pretty intriguing idea and could allow people to have more of a voice, but this wasn't the appropriate reason to do it.
