lol - and that's your total response? Really? Well let me go burn all my Mary Daly books immediately!
'Perceived' sexism... excuse me - what planet are you living on? I thought we were here to escape social media 'bubbles'. I'm aware that your online name is androgynous - but you give away your sex far too easily - slut! lol ;) So - what challenges you about feminism then? I thought I made it pretty clear that I wasn't able to speak authoritatively on it - even though I've been actively informing myself on many forms of rights, for nearly half a century. Perhaps start by explaining why the empowerment of women scares you? I am actually interested to know - because it's only by overcoming these man-made perceptions of being different that we can finally evolve together..
"Perhaps start by explaining why the empowerment of women scares you?"
I don't consider hysterical slander, microaggressions, safe spaces and intimidation/harassment tactics against anybody that disagrees with feminists to be empowering for women. Unlike you, I actually treat women with respect and will argue with them and criticise them on equal terms rather than hiding them away from society and encouraging them to self-segregate themselves from men.
Funny how fast you got pissed off over one line, did I get to you too much? :) maybe make you question feminism perhaps?
Please then explain 'perceived sexism' - do you think society is equal?
You understand the etymology of hysterical?
What did I assert to be women's proper role.
Answer the points - don't make up your own.. typical avoidance.
. Women have never had it better before in the western world, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from doing what you want to do, the gender pay gap is a lie it is actually the gender earnings gap that feminists keep on peddling to get women like you to be hysterical about nothing.
. When I use words I have no problems looking them up in a dictionary, I am using hysterical correctly so don't even bother
. You posted a huge fucking image of princess Leia with the headline "A woman's place is in the resistance" how the fuck can you not notice how sexist this is? You're basically telling women that their job is to be a part of 'your' ideology instead of just leaving them alone to do whatever the fuck they want or invite them to join willingly, that's what real sexism is. They also push false statistics and make up utterly bullshit claims about their opposition like Donald Trump in order to get gullible people to sign up to their cause. Most people will agree that Trump was talking like a douchebag with the whole 'grab them by the pussy' thing but the idea that this is somehow 'sexual assault' is ridiculous.
Good enough for you? I'm not avoiding anything, get your head out of your arse.
That's a much better adult response. True, you didn't know how to engage with this discussion and that's not your fault.
I disagree with your first point. It's plain not true. There are all manner of measurements to show the huge discrepancies and biases in the real world - and that spells out to me - that you're fixed in your opinion. Shame.
Facts are great - whatever weight the new US president puts on 'alternate facts' (I will always call out a lie). I've probably lived longer than you - again nothing you can do about that. I've seen big chunks of the world - I've had several partners who were in high powered positions - the best performing workers - overlooked over and over by the boys club at the top (while getting constantly touched up in the workplace). This is the norm, not the exception. Please don't argue - just go ask some women.
Bringing me to Hysterical. So - you respect and value women as equals yes? Hmm. Just using that word - especially as you know what it means (an etymological dictionary I presume) - is sexism personified. Shame on you.
The Princess Leia was printed especially for the march I was posting about. Many thousands thought of it as empowering and a glowing testimony to Carrie Fisher - watch some youtube vids of the march - several participants voice exactly this viewpoint.
'My' ideology. I'm a person. I have opinions. Were you to be a woman making valid points I'd listen. As you've shown your agenda from the very first I've less inclination to take you seriously.
On a positive note - thanks for the tip on Anita Sarkeesian - I've just enjoyed her TEDx talk - all thanks to you. :) I used to design games too - back in the '80s - so always had an interest in this side of life.

You are completely delusional, really, you think using the word 'hysterical' is sexism? I'm going to enjoy seeing how long you last in an uncensored environment. Your usual slander tactics won't work here because I can freely defend myself without getting banned or censored.
My guess is, like all the other feminists, you come out swinging and acting tough then the moment you get any push back from anybody else you'll immediately run crying to your safe spaces.
I always find it funny as well how it's people like you that call for civility when anybody ever calls you out on your bullshit but you're the ones that immediately resort to slander when people don't agree with everything you say.
I always end up being disappointed by man-hating feminists, always, you have nothing but stupid talking points that have been debunked consistently.
How long it will be before you claim Steemit is filled with right wing neo-nazi's and misogynists?
"Were you to be a woman making valid points I'd listen. "
Holy shit, you really can't even see your own sexism can you? I really want to know how you can have such little self-awareness to go after me like you have and then say something like that.
