SEC-S17W2- "Homeless people in my country"
Hello everyone,
I am honored to participate in the Steemit Engagement Challenge for Season 17, Week 2, and I take this opportunity to address a crucial topic: the issue of homelessness in my country, Tunisia. As an engaged citizen, I am deeply concerned about this social reality and I firmly believe in the importance of raising awareness and finding solutions to help these vulnerable people. Through this participation, I hope to provoke reflection and encourage collective action to improve the lives of the homeless in Tunisia. Thank you for allowing me to share this cause with you and I look forward to reading your contributions.
Are there homeless people in your country?
Yes, I unfortunately note the presence of homeless people in my country, Tunisia. This reality reflects a worrying situation affecting many regions of the world. Over the years, I have sadly observed an increase in the number of homeless people, much of which is attributable to the continuing economic crisis both nationally and globally.
As a Tunisian citizen, I am deeply aware of the challenges faced by these vulnerable people, and I am concerned by the lack of consideration of this problem by the dominant liberal system, which seems to neglect this dangerous reality.
What do you think is the cause that leads these people to be on the street, homeless and without a family?
By closely analyzing the situation, I am convinced that several factors contribute to the increase in the number of homeless people in Tunisia. In addition to the economic crisis, other causes such as high unemployment, precarious living conditions and difficulties in accessing housing play a crucial role in this social problem.
Furthermore, the lack of effective government policies and adequate supports further aggravates the situation, leaving many homeless people without access to the basic resources necessary for their survival and well-being.
Has the government tried to try or create decent shelters to help these people?
Regarding the government' s efforts to create decent shelters to help the homeless in Tunisia I see that the current economic situation poses many challenges in this regard. Unfortunately, limited resources and budgetary constraints make it difficult for the government to fulfill this task adequately.
Although there are some shelters available I must admit that the service offered does not meet the needs of homeless people. Conditions in these shelters can often be precarious with insufficient facilities and a lack of appropriate support to help these vulnerable individuals rebuild their lives. As a concerned citizen , I am aware of the critical importance of providing dignified shelter and quality services to the homeless and I firmly believe that it is necessary to increase efforts and resources allocated to this cause to ensure that no one is left behind in our society.
What could you propose so that these people do not remain in this dark world?
When it comes to solutions to help homeless people get out of this difficult situation I firmly believe that concrete steps must be taken. First of all , I think that social organizations must play an essential role by working in close collaboration with the governorate to supervise this phenomenon.

This could include establishing awareness programs to educate the public about the causes and consequences of homelessness as well as advocacy efforts aimed at gaining increased support from local and national authorities.
Additionally, it is imperative to ensure decent housing alternatives for the homeless by establishing safe shelters and affordable housing programs to provide them with a stable and secure roof. By working together in a collaborative and supportive way we can help give homeless people a chance to rebuild their lives and regain their dignity in our society.

One of the most unfortunate thing is the fact that here in my country, the government are not really doing anything about it and it seems like they are actually contended with what is happening
It's really unfortunate to hear that. It is crucial that governments actively address the problem of homelessness and work to find effective solutions. Pressure may need to be increased on the government to take more significant action and prioritize this important issue.
Thank you, friend!

Saludos y bendiciones.
