Ok, that title is pretty punny.

I have a few minutes to myself while clients are on lunch and I wait for my next session to start. I walked into class 45 minutes late which means, my day away is not worth quite as much as it was as I get paid for what I do, not what is scheduled to do.

On the way here the train had to slow several times and stop a couple more as due to the delays, there were now other trains on the track. This added 20 more minutes to the trip on top. No harm no foul for my customer as I called ahead but, not great for the wallet.

In the first session we were talking about young people not wanting to do dirty jobs and also how many borrow and go into debt for luxury items. When asked about my own situation, I mentioned I take the approach that I am able to live off a basic salary at a fast food restaurant. It isn't there yet but I am slowly screwing it downward and clearing debt.

Of course, the ultimate goal is to be completely self-sufficient but that is going to be some way off as I don't have the necessary skill resources to manage it. People think self-sufficient is being able to pay for everything to be done but, that is another type of slavery and one that will succumb to laws of supply and demand pricing to eventually mean what one could pay for, is now too expensive. And without the skills to do it oneself, one is again fully dependent if the service is required.

One of the big learning processes I have gained from Steem is restructuring my thoughts on personal finance and economy to the point I am making real world changes in my behaviours. Someone said they don't improve themselves on Steem, I think that is approach not, Steem itself.

So far I have been able to leverage my learning and skills to change my actions in life and use them as a base to develop better employment opportunities in both my company and the company I recently started working for.

Self-improvement is just that, and reliance on a system to provide it is programming not, self-direction. This is part of the reason I am so interested in aspects of the way the ecosystem functions as it is a great learning resource in many different ways of utilized well.

Anyway, next session starts.

I can as far as I have noticed. What major think I also have gained on steemit is my view about human behaviours all around the world. I have learnt a lot about the human behaviour Knowledge than before and I need to be grateful for steemit for

Self-improvement is very important for every human, even if many people dont really care to improve themselves. But that the only way to success and better life.

It is good to work out where one might want to be and then, what skills are required to get there. Or, work out what skills one has and where they can take them :)

I find it interesting to put my SP value into blockfolio app and see how it changes over time in fiat value. This includes any purchases I made so I would know my expenses too. Constantly increasing Steem earnings is a way towards financial independence in the future.

Constantly increasing Steem earnings is a way towards financial independence in the future.

I am hoping that it provides some significant changes in position for many. Me included of course :)

Of course, if you wanted to write another 5 posts a day, you could always learn to pee without using hands, and utilize your hands for typing while waiting to finish.....

On a more frivolous note...

It isn't there yet but I am slowly screwing it downward and clearing debt.

...the way forwards my friend...

Sit down to pee is a possibility also.

I visualize as it a shift from working to earn my assets to making my assets work for me to be self sustaining. I am still far off but theis journey here has encourage me to take more action and make possible sooner rather than later while I still have the earnings power.

THat is what I am hoping for and if Steem does work, many people are going to be able to put their steem to work for them somewhat passively or, through helping others develop too. Pretty cool really.
