Four Japanese car makers see 11% increase in US sales in July, with Toyota and Subaru likely to see increases even after price hikes! |

Four Japanese automakers, including Toyota Motor Corporation, announced on the 1st that their new car sales in the U.S. for July increased 11.1% compared to the same month last year to 438,131 units. This was the first increase in two months. Two of the four manufacturers raised prices, but sales increased for flagship vehicles such as hybrids (HVs). It seems that in the U.S., there is a possibility that manufacturers will continue to raise prices in the future due to tariffs, but the reason they continue to sell even after price increases is likely due to their safety and security.
