RE: Traffic Koans [Day 2]

in #traffic-koans8 years ago

On my final day way to become a dirving expert my driving instructor picked me up to give me my final driving lesson and right after that the driving exam began. I was so tense that I made one mistake after the other, with the culminating one: stopping abruptly in front of pedestrian crossing to let some pedestrians cross. I hit the brake so impetuosly that the examinator nearly bumped into my head. "It's all over now, I surely failed," I thought. Parked after that hour of intense torment, I waited for the final judgement.
"I'll let you pass," the instructor sid calmly, "but you should check the rear mirror more often." I couldn't believe it, so sure I was I'd fail.

You caught a lucky break, my friend! Perhaps the instructor was being lenient since you were still a beginner. I think they grade based on potential at that point, and it's great that he saw the potential to be a great driver in you. Way to prove him right!
