RE: Woahh Vicky, Rachel Dolezal, and an Argument for Transracialism?
I really like your videos, I hope you can get more followers here in D.Tube your content is something that trully makes people think and talk around it. I also think you are a very intelligent and spend time thinking about this topics unlike many other people that do it for maybe call attention but not really think this through. About the topic itself, I think that sometimes race is treated more like a behavioral box than what it is. Being Black or being hispanic or arab, is basically saying, you respond to these stereotype or that stereotype more than just being a human being with different physical features.
Then there is the wanting to 'act black' or 'act white', definitely acting African American, New Yorker, from Hip hop generation, is different than let say acting African, from Ghana, representing your tribe, versus acting Afrocaribean, Bajan (Barbadian), from the Calypso generation.
So the American mainstream is really just a fraction of what a race and culture emboddies. New York blacks might have block parties, while LA Blacks might have cookouts. Houston, Chicago? Well on the words of one ESPN black commentator said (growing up I never knew there was black people in middle america). Which also goes to the whole 'what is black' and culture.
