Yankari Game Reserve is located about 225km east of the Nigerian city of bauchi and it covers an area of 2,244 sq km. Yankari Game Reserve has been described as the only remnant of wildlife left in Nigeria. With about 550 elephants, this park has the largest elephant population in West Africa.
