However, the winner is only one and that is for me picture posted by @irvinesimages with the following entry:
Beauty And Fury. Every summer the North American Monsoon Season draws deep moisture up from the tropics into the arid desert southwest. Bringing an almost daily cycle of convective thunderstorms. Late day storms are most the common because they are heat driven. So this results in some rather spectacular sunsets, showing the beauty and the fury. Sedona Arizona USA.
What a great contribution from @irvinesimages to the photo challenge! I have visited @irvinesimages blog and upvoted his post called The Rain Will Come. @irvinesimages amazing entry from Arizona is qualifying for the weekly challenge where it will be competing against the previous and upcoming winners of the week:
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #93 - winner announcement!
@justdentist Asian Sunday entry:
Good morning Guilin. Guilin and the surrounding area was the highlight of our china vacation. The landscape is so unique with the hills all over the place and the rivers running through. The morning hike was steep but short and this view was the perfect prize:)
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #93 – winner announcement!
@robbertb Australian Monday entry:
It's quite a challenge to choose one picture from a six weeks New Zealand roadtrip, but I believe this one captures the feeling of freedom and the beauty of nature at it's best. This shot was taken at the top of Ben Ohau at 1500 meters elevation after a challenging hike in 28 degrees Celcius. The reward was amazing as you can see! (Yes, the lakes in New Zealand really are that blue).
@dmytrokorol Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Beautiful morning on Playa el Bollulo, Tenerife, Canary Islands. This beach with pitch black volcanic sand is one of the most beautiful on the island. I was mesmerized with the contrast of sand and the water rolling back and creating the white foamy lines. I have spent some time just looking at this natural beauty and noticed the amazing subtle reflection in the middle ground. All I needed is a subject and it was easy to find because there are several rock formations on the beach. I took several shots to find the right balance in all this permanent changing and combined several images (foreground with the leading lines, middle ground with reflection and subject with rock and crashing waves).
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #93 - winner announcement!
@axeman African Wednesday entry:
Electrification on Mars. Picture like from a sci-fi cartoon... But in reality shot from the moving bus early morning on the way from Hurghada to Luxor, Egypt to reach our cruise up the Nile ship. The quality is not so sharp, but really nice overall effect and some strange colors caused by polarized bus window. Enjoy the scenery :)
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #93 - winner announcement!
@dronegraphica European Thursday entry:
Puycelsi of south west France. Pucelsi is one of a number of 'Bastide' towns in the Tarn valley. They are old, fortified medieval towns that are situated on an elevated hilltop. They are compact, displaying ancient building techniques and beautiful narrow roads.
The winner of the weekly challenge will be selected by you based on the dollar value of this post and then entered to a monthly and possibly yearly challenge on the way to win the price of 200 SBD in total. You can give @irvinesimages your support by upvoting this winner announcement post.
My next challenge is coming shortly: South American Saturday. Get your pictures ready! :)
