Revisiting Agros Village: Springtime in the Rose Village

in #travel2 months ago

Hey everyone,

My journey took me back to Agros, the charming village nestled in the mountains of Cyprus, sitting at around 1200 meters above sea level.

This wasn’t my first time here – I had already visited back in February, when the village greeted me with freezing temperatures down to minus 4 degrees and even a touch of snow.

Despite the cold, I was immediately captivated by its quiet charm, winding alleys, and unique mountain atmosphere.

Now in May, I returned – this time with my mother, who came to visit me from Germany. We rented a small apartment for three nights to experience Agros in the spring.

And it was a completely different world: nature in full bloom, the air filled with the scent of roses, and sunshine bathing the landscape in a golden light.

Agros is rightly called the "Rose Village." It’s not only known for its rose plantations, but also for producing hundreds of rose-based products – from soaps and sweets to essential oils and cosmetics. And every year in May is the rose harvest.

Stay tuned for more impressions!
