Alborz mountains in North of Tehran

Tehran is a city at 1400 meter elevation as a normal. I live in a piece of Tehran which has an elevation of 1750m above free ocean levels. what's more, I trust the most wonderful thing about Tehran (alongside numerous monstrous actualities in the place where I grew up!) is the nearness of Alborz mountains which are secured by snow just about 8-9 months every year. this reminds numerous a certain something: Skiing in Tehran would be extraordinary! Tochal mount is around 4000 m elevation and it includes a Hotel at fifth stop (I have heard it's the most elevated height for an inn on the planet yet I don't know) which I lived one night and it was an awesome ordeal. Tochal Ski resort may not be the most suggested ski resort (in view of its little field) however is exceptionally well known among Tehrani youthful skiers with minutes from their homes!

in the north of Tehran, you have old towns which are joined to present day Tehran as a piece of city and not as rural areas. Darakeh, Darband, Niyavaran, Kashanak and Daar-abad are among them.

going to mountains for individuals of Tehran is considered as game, pastime, cookout and notwithstanding eating! with numerous wonderful eateries in Darband and Darakeh regions, you will appreciate a lunch or supper (even breakfast) in high heights with mountain sees.

Another delightful certainty about all these extraordinary mounts above Tehran, is you can ascend one and descend from another! for this you need to leave your auto at ones film ofcourse and furthermore you may need to spend an entire day climbing and strolling (8-12 hours)

moving up Kolak Chaal and descending from Darband

moving up Kashanak and descending from Tochal

Darband: from Tajrish square with one taxi course

Kolak Chaal: from Niavaran sreet, Feizieh (Jamshidieh) road

Kashanak and Dar Abad: from Niavaran square (Niavaran Palace) with one transport or Taxi course

Darakeh: from Parkway (Chamran) crossing with Vali Asr strees with Taxi

what to wear: in Spring and Fall the climate can be warm, chilling and raining. in Summer it can go to a great degree sweltering (40 degrees!) and in winter it can go beneath zero effectively (minus 10 or 20)

Pollution warning: Tehran can be extremely polluted in December and January due to inversion phenomena. check the conditions on Tehran's municipality website before planning a trip.
