LAKE LOUISE
The iconic Lake Louise never disappoints. It's breathtaking
view attracts many international tourists each year being one
of the biggest hot spot of the Canadian Rockies.
Lake louise is a glacial lake meaning it gets it's volume
from melting glaciers and the water is cold at anytime
of year. The glacial melts carries sediments giving the lake
it's mesmerizing blue-green tones.
I know the Alps in Europe quite well and there are fantastic locations too, but the Rockies certainly always look more epic !
Funny enough we always want what we don't have. I grew up in the Appalachians and now live near the Rockies yet I dream of seeing the Alps . The Rockies are pretty epic tho! I have a trip to mount robson ( the tallest peak in the rockies) in a few weeks, stay tuned for more pics.
