Travel diaries - #Throwbacks - The beauty of Kashmir
Kashmir is one of the most beautiful place of India, sadly it has so much of political conflict that visiting here is also kind of a risk. In the early part of this year there was an attack on the civilians in one of the most popular tourist attraction and after that people are more worried to visit here. We had visited Kashmir some years ago, even that time there were some tensions going on in the place, and lot of people advised us not to travel, but then hubby wanted to and he said, there is tension here all the days since past so many years so there never may be a perfect time to travel. We did take a risk I can say, and travelled, and with god's grace everything went smooth. There were a few demonstrations here and there but nothing that we had to worry about.
Whenever I look at these pictures, I feel like I have to visit here once more, but not sure with all these conflicts I would actually plan or not. It's a place where tourism can flourish in abundance, not only with Indians but also from all over the world, but due to the geopolitical issues people are scared to visit here, especially from other countries. Yes, even I would not visit a place that has issues in another country. In my own country I can still try because I know the way outs, but in other country it can be a big risk if something goes wrong.
Sharing some pictures from our holidays, from the tulip gardens to the snow clad mountains it is all so gorgeous and there are so many activities also to do, which makes this place a truly wonderful holiday destination.
Tulip garden is open only in the month of April, and hence in this month there are maximum tourist.
A family picture in the traditional Kashmiri dress
I adore this picture. Sadly this is the place where the shoot out had happened in early part of this year and it killed so many young lives. Why do people do such things, what is the gain. It is sad that power and terror is above love and compassion in today's world.
Some good memories for life. If I will visit this place again or not, I have no idea about it right now, but yes this time I will not take a chance, and only travel if it feels very safe.
