I'm Buying a Vintage Travel Trailer

I found a really good deal on craigslist for a 1968 Mallard travel trailer. We went to look at it yesterday and it was in really good condition for the year.

It's small, lightweight, and has everything you need to live out of. It has a kitchen, toilet, and shower, along with plenty of sleeping room. There is also a furnace, water heater, and window unit for a/c.

It has the "canned ham" style metal exterior and roll-style windows that open up at an angle. There are no leaks or soft spots.

The single axle trailer should be easy to pull and maneuver. It's only 12' long, the smallest Mallard model.

I can't wait to get it really nice and cleaned up and start moving some things into it for next camping trips! I'll share some more photos when I get it back and start working on it.

$1,000?

Nice little bug-out-mobile there! Can't wait to see it after a little TLC. Camo wrap that bad boy and CAMP ON, brother!

Looks like a good deal. I've been looking at a lot of RVs and campers in my area as well. Nothing like the road life.

Party trailer. Looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Since I owned one not too different from that, some advice: fix the electrical and plumbing first. They will have problems. And if they don't now they will soon. Then you don't have to tear out new flooring etc you put in. Also be careful going up/down steep driveways: the back of that thing will bottom out super easy.
