Ao Kung Krabean, an interesting tourist attraction, in Thailand
Ao Kung Krabean or Kung Krabean Bay (Ao means Bay) is a mangrove study center which is an interesting tourist attraction. It is situated in Chanthaburi, in the East of Thailand.
It’s a nice and interesting place where you can enjoy wonderful mangroves with the beautiful surrounding natural scenery.
You can study the natural environment by walking along the study trail, a long wooden path. There are pavilions and signs providing information about plants and animals in the mangrove forest.
On the nature trail, there are many types of plants, such as small-leaved mangrove, large-leaved mangrove, red-leaved mangrove, sea mangrove, etc.
There is a dugong-shaped stand for you to take pictures of. In the past, there were many dugongs in Ao Khung Krabean, but it’s unfortunate that they are now extinct.
The atmosphere at Ao Kung Krabean is quite shady and cool because there are many trees on both sides of the path.
By visiting Ao Kung Krabean, not only relaxing in nature, you can also gain an understanding of the mangrove ecosystem and learn how to use the resources as well.
