Travel to the desert of India - Reise durch die wüste von Indien

India is huge, India is crazy, India is different - at least for us Europeans. Because there are things here that do not exist in other countries. People live differently, nature is different. Another world, in the middle of a world.

Our journey went through the desert of India. More precisely, through Rajasthan, the federal state of India. Here it does not rain often, actually rarely. Rajasthan is near Pakistan. When we crossed the desert, we were not far away from Pakistan.

With the motorcycle we drove from the city Jaisalmer in the direction of the sand dunes. A long drive through the stone desert, because the whole landscape is very dry and very hot during the day. Quickly we noticed that we need a lot of water. The lips became dry by the airstream.

In the small village near the sandy desert we started. We were welcomed by the family and instructed for the camels. Provisions loaded, water filled and before the departure once again properly eaten. Because from now on there is nothing more, no water, no small shops with food, nothing.

What you don't bring with you, there is no such thing!
Yes, here there is nothing but sand and a few plants for humans. That was exactly what we were looking for. The ride with the camels was pleasant, even though we got aching muscles in our thighs at the end after 3 hours of hiking. Because you have to hold on to the camel, really tight.

Before sunset we stopped and set up camp. We did not sleep in tents, but under the open sky. It was so quiet at night that I got ear beeps. The absolute silence was there.
Your thought seems so loud that someone else can hear it, so it seemed to me.

Even if our journey only lasted 3 days, I can now well imagine what it is like to be on the road for days or weeks.

An adventure that looks for its equal. Simply ingenious....

Indien ist riesig, Indien ist verrückt, Indien ist anders- zumindest für uns Europäer. Denn hier gibt es Dinge, die es in anderen Ländern nicht gibt. Die Menschen leben anders, die Natur ist anders. Eine andere Welt, mitten in einer Welt.

Unsere Reise ging durch die Wüste Indiens. Genauer gesagt durch Rajasthan, dem Bundestaat von Indien. Hier regent es nicht oft, eigentlich selten. Rajasthan ist in der Nähe von Pakistan. Als wir die Wüste durchquert hatten, waren wir nicht weit von Pakistan entfernt.

Mit dem Motorrad sind wir von der Stadt Jaisalmer in die Richtung der Sanddünen gefahren. Eine lange Fahrt durch die Steinwüste, denn die ganze Landschaft ist sehr trocken und tagsüber sehr heiß. Schnell merkten wir, dass wir sehr viel Wasser brauchen. Die Lippen wurden durch den Fahrtwind trocken.

Im kleinen Dorf nähe der Sandwüste ging es dann los. Wir wurden von der Familie empfangen und eingewiesen für die Kamele. Proviant aufgeladen, Wasser gefüllt und vor der Abreise noch einmal richtig gegessen. Denn ab jetzt gibt es nichts mehr, kein Wasser, keine Kleinen Shops mit Essen, nichts.

Was du nicht mitbringst, gibt es auch nicht!
Ja, hier gibt es ausser Sand und ein paar Pflanzen nichts für den Menschen. Genau das war es, was wir gesucht haben. Der Ritt mit den Kamelen war angenehm, auch wenn wir am Schluss nach 3 Stunden Wanderung dann Muskelkater in den Oberschenkel bekommen hatten. Denn auf dem Kamel muss man sich festhalten, richtig fest.

Vor dem Sonnenuntergang hielten wir an und schlugen das Lager auf. Wir schliefen nicht in Zelten, sondern unter freien Himmel. Es war Nachts so eine Ruhe, dass ich Ohrpiepsen bekommen habe. Die Absolute Stille ist dort gewesen.
Dein Gedanke scheint so laut, dass es jemand anderes hören kann, so kam es mir vor.

Auch wenn unsere Reise nur 3 Tage ging, so kann ich mir jetzt gut vorstellen wie es ist tagelang oder Wochenlang unterwegs zu sein.

Ein Abenteuer, das seines gleichen sucht. Einfach genial....
