Hello fellow travelers!

Today I want to tell you about my great adventure yesterday, which was very beautiful and exciting, and for the first time I visited these places that I had already said something about in my books, because sometimes I like to go to these places already a little prepared.

In particular yesterday I visited for my first time the sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of Castelmonte a very ancient sanctuary that is located in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Some say that it is one of the oldest in the world but in reality I did not find anything that could document this, however the beautiful thing that is located in Castelmonte a hamlet of Prepotto in the province of Udine, I did not make a very specific visit But I just visited this place quite quickly because I was passing by those parts and because I actually had to go to Cividale del Friuli.

Purely, what struck me is the fact that the sanctuary rises about 600 meters above sea level and we are right at the foot of the Julian Alps and probably before becoming a sanctuary it was a defensive place most likely in Romano and as I told you there is the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary because this place is linked to some legends.

As you can see from the photos or it is a very suggestive place, it is also very beautiful in my opinion Especially if you like those very cute little places.

After as I told you, my final stop was actually Cividale del Friuli, a compound that was founded by the Romans in the second century BC, and for several years also protected by UNESCO, the most scenic and probably most famous part that has often been seen on social media and its beautiful Ponte del Diavolo an engineering work dating back to or even to 1400 that crosses the Natisone river.

The beauty of this bridge is that in addition to being able to cross it and therefore already see a beautiful panorama from above the bridge, there is also the possibility of choosing on the riverbed, of course when the water is low enough.

I hope that this Sunday trip of mine was interesting, I hope that as usual I have introduced you to some places that perhaps you do not know, see you next time
