During my secondary school days I learnt alot about tourism and sightseeing which was mostly seen as a foreign culture. Here in my country, people don't really value touring around the states, country and nations maybe because of the cost, economic factors and more. I have always wanted to be touring around my environment, locality, state and even outside the country creating memories with my lens.

Nature and macro photography really gave me great push to understand photography alot so I always wanted to tour and research more. My dream place to tour as a teen was the Eket Ibeno beach here in AkwaIbom state but due to some reasons I couldn't move down there alone.

This year was a great one for me, my friends came up with the same idea of touring there. So let's know about the beach 😁

Which beach did you go to and why did you choose it?

I have been longing to visit the Ibeno beach for years since when I was a teen, I have heard several stories about how special the place is, the food , the culture and waves over there. My friends made the dream possible when they agreed on going there as a group. The Ibeno beach is the most popular beach known to be the most visited beach here in Nigeria. The beach is located in Ibeno local government area of AkwaIbom state. The beach is situated in a good area which enable sunset for good photography, games and other events.

We went there on a tour to have fun, create memories and also have clear pictures for the future. I was also opportune to meet with my friends in school over there.

Did anything interesting or funny happen during your trip?

Yeah, so many fun things happened right from when we were about moving. Firstly the cost of transportation to the Ibeno park was actually funny tho, the cost was actually different from what we budgeted. We didn't really bother but it was funny at first because we would have been stranded if we hadn't had extra cash.
The water waves was really scary when we got there, we introduced run play down the beach side. The game was to run away from the water waves before it reaches you, my friends who couldn't met with the waves which took them off the trail.
Everything about the environment was so interesting and beautiful we spent alot of time there, captured alot and created long lasting memories.

Did you eat any local food or do anything special there?

We took Ibeno special ekpankukwo and grilled fish with fries, The place is blessed with African delicacies to brighten up your day and moment. If you really want to enjoy home made African delicacies you will need to visit Ibeno beach here in AkwaIbom state.
Local dishes here is nutritious especially when been served with cold palmy.

How did the trip make you feel? Would you recommend this beach to others?

The trip was one of the greatest one for me, the long awaited tour as a teen. I had fun with my friends and family over there to cover up the craving. Yes I will recommend the beach to people alot because it's actually safe and more fun over there.
